I m designing a 11 x 8 5 12 page spiral bound brochure using indesign cc 2017.
Brochure gutter indesign.
You might have a range of point sizes for quotes and side notes to use in a spread that will need to be aligned differently for example.
Here is an example on an a5.
Bleeding the images on the outside perimeter of the brochure design is easy but how do i bleed the images next to the gutter without s.
Finally you enter your content.
Indesign uses the first definition in margins and columns so i m going to guess that is what your question is about.
Note that this solution works for an accordion fold but is inappropriate for a barrel fold.
Assuming i guessed correctly are you trying to define the gutter widthor gutter position.
Sometimes it can be difficult to keep your body copy in order when using just one baseline grid.
Create a spot rgb swatch to denote fold lines in the slug.
Make the margins twice as thick as the gutter place a ruler guide in between.
Then you use those specifications in the new document dialog box.
Some people use gutter to describe the space between 2 columns other use it to describe the space between two pages.
My indesign document is setup with facing pages checked so i can see each spread.
